Upcoming Event Spotlight: ASB 2026 Conference to Explore the Future of Intelligent and Sustainable Business

Business scholars, educators, researchers, and graduate students from across Canada will gather in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, from September 18–20, 2026, for the 55th Atlantic Schools of Business (ASB) Conference, one of Canada’s longest-standing academic conferences dedicated to business research and education (ASB Conference, 2026).

Hosted by the Faculty of Business Administration at Memorial University of Newfoundland, ASB 2026 will provide an important forum for presenting research, exchanging ideas, and strengthening collaboration among academics and practitioners across a broad range of business disciplines (ASB Conference, 2026).

Theme: Intelligent Business for a Sustainable Atlantic Canada

The 2026 conference theme, “Intelligent Business for a Sustainable Atlantic Canada,” highlights the growing importance of artificial intelligence, analytics, digital innovation, and responsible management practices in shaping the future of organizations and regional development (ASB Conference, 2026).

Participants will explore how intelligent systems, data-driven decision-making, and sustainable business strategies can contribute to stronger organizational performance, more effective public policy, and greater societal well-being.

Why This Conference Matters

For more than five decades, the ASB Conference has served as a respected platform for business scholarship in Canada. The conference welcomes conceptual studies, empirical research, work-in-progress papers, and graduate student research across multiple fields of business and management (ASB Conference, 2026).

Attendees will have opportunities to:

  • Present and discuss current research with peers.
  • Engage with emerging topics in business, technology, and sustainability.
  • Build academic and professional networks.
  • Receive feedback from experienced scholars.
  • Explore interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary business challenges.

These opportunities make ASB particularly valuable for doctoral students, early-career researchers, and faculty members seeking to contribute to the advancement of business knowledge and education.
